High Voltage Performing Arts is a registered charity (Charity Number: 1189028) created to give performance opportunities to members of the local community.

We currently have 4 performing units within the organisation:

High Voltage Big Band - a big band playing swing, jazz & blues

MegaBlast! - a brass and percussion ensemble playing classic songs & current pop hits

The Stein Meisters Oompah Band - a Bavarian style band playing oompah & party songs

Essex Herald Fanfare Team - a traditional fanfare team playing flourishes for civic occasions

With our unique line up of up to 16 brass players plus a rhythm section comprising of drums & percussionists. Add our three fantastic vocalists on top and you can’t go wrong.

Providing a fusion of music from swing, jazz & blues to rock & pop, all produced in our unique brassy big band sound. High Voltage Big Band will help your event to go with a swing!

MegaBlast! offer the perfect musical package for your party or event. Playing a mixture of classic hits plus all your singalong party favourites we are guaranteed to play something for everyone.

With our unique line up of up to 10 brass players plus a rhythm section comprising of keyboard, drums & percussionists. Add our three fantastic vocalists on top and you can’t go wrong. Providing a fusion of music from soul to pop, from rock to ska, from the 50s to current chart hits all produced in our unique big brassy sound. You are encouraged to join in, sing along & dance the night away. We look forward to partying with you!

Providing a fusion of traditional and modern music with a brassy oompah sound. You are encouraged to join in and dress for the occasion. We look forward to partying with you! High Voltage Charts provide Music Theory resources, materials and tutorials for the community. We also provide access to musical arrangements for various ensembles plus guides to using music notation software such as Sibelius and MobileSheetsPro.
